Software for engineering teams
Skills, Blueprint, Context and Forge address capability, plans, instructions and technical documents. Those records are often managed informally — in old spreadsheets, one-line tickets, instruction files copied between repositories and runbooks whose numbers were last checked by hand. Fibre records what AI coding agents do with them.
How we work
What the products have in common
Not a methodology. Four commitments that show up in the software itself.
- Show the working
- A number an engineering leader cannot explain to their own team is worth very little. Every score, gap and readiness figure decomposes into the records it came from, and every published change has an author and a date.
- Do not guess about people
- It would be straightforward to infer capability from commit history. We do not, because it would be wrong often enough to matter, and because people deserve to know what their record says about them and where it came from.
- Narrow and finished beats broad and nearly
- Each product covers less ground than its category norm and is more specific about what it does inside it. Where something is incomplete, it is listed as incomplete rather than implied.
- Independent projects, not a suite
- Skills, Blueprint, Context, Forge and Fibre are separate applications. They share a company and a point of view, not a database or a login; adopting one does not commit you to the others.
