The short version
This website sets no cookies of its own. There is no login, no basket and no session to keep, so there is nothing strictly necessary to store. The only cookies that can ever be set here belong to Google Analytics, and they are set only if you press Allow analytics.
Analytics cookies — optional
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages people read and how they arrive. Advertising features, Google Signals and ad personalisation are switched off for this property, so the data is not used to build advertising audiences.
The Google Analytics script is loaded on every page. Until you agree, it runs without cookies: nothing is written to your browser, and Google receives only basic, cookieless signals that a page was viewed — the page address, the time, and browser and device details. Nothing in them recognises your browser from one visit to the next. Your IP address reaches Google as part of the request; Google states that Google Analytics 4 does not store it. Google uses these signals to estimate overall traffic. If you decline, or simply never answer, it stays that way.
Pressing Allow analytics lets it set the two cookies below.
| Cookie | Purpose | Expires |
|---|---|---|
| _ga | Distinguishes one browser from another so return visits are not counted as new ones. | 2 years |
| _ga_<container> | Holds the current session state for this Google Analytics property. | 2 years |
How your choice is remembered
Your answer is kept in your browser's local storage rather than in a cookie. It never leaves your device and is not sent to us. Clearing your browser data for this site removes it, and you will be asked again on your next visit.
The same goes for the theme. The site is dark unless you change it. If you switch to Light, or to System to follow your device's own setting, at the foot of any page, that choice is kept in local storage so the next page opens the same way. It is stored only because you asked for it, never leaves your device, and is removed again when you switch back to Dark.
Changing your mind
You can change your answer at any time. Declining after previously allowing analytics stops cookie-based collection immediately and removes the Google Analytics cookies this site has set; Google Analytics then continues without cookies, as described above.

Changes and rights
We may update this policy as the site changes. An update takes effect when it is published on this page, and we do not give individual notice of it — the “last updated” date at the top records when it last changed, so it is worth checking if you are relying on a particular detail.
That covers the wording of this document. It does not cover your data: if we change how personal data is actually handled, we tell the people affected rather than rely on this page having been updated.
